What Parents and Parishioners have to say about St. Agatha School

When parents and parishioners were asked to provide their overall opinion of St. Agatha School, this is what some of them had to say:

“I am very pleased with the school and the education that is provided in all curricular areas.”

“(My husband) and I are very lucky to have the opportunity to send our children to a small Catholic school…..there is a special closeness that my children have with other students at St. Agatha School. When I see my children taking such an active part in Mass (knowing what to do, how to act, serving, lectoring), it makes me feel very proud. And we are very happy with the support that Fr. Jim gives for the school.”

“St. Agatha School is an asset to the community, as it turns out brighter students for brighter futures. Love it – love it – love it!”

“I feel it is a great school and I am happy my child is able to attend. It was the best decision I ever made.”

“St. Agatha School is an excellent example of our commitment to the Catholic education of our youth. Wherever our students go, they are confident and educated leaders, giving a wonderful example to others.”

“As a parent of a recent graduate, it wasn’t until now that I realize even more as to what the school did (for my daughter) in her eight years. I have come to know more than Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic were taught and how each day’s interaction helped to develop a true Catholic young adult.”

“I am proud of our students, as they attend Mass devoutly, visit the Nursing Home, show concern for senior citizens, and collect food for the poor. All these efforts bring about compassion and character…”

“If you pay attention to things like high school honor roll, student council, class officers, etc., you will see that our graduates are leaders. And it goes further, into the community, like our local government, Knights of Columbus, New Athens Volunteer Fire Dept., etc. Many of these are products of St. Agatha School.”
