Sarah LanhamHello my name is Sarah Lanham and this is my second year as the 7th and 8th grade teacher here at St. Agatha School. This is my second year as a teacher, but I actually graduated from St. Agatha in 1996, so St. Agatha's has been always been close to my heart. I went on to graduate from New Athens High School then I went to college at SIUE where I graduated in 2005. Then, I started my teaching career at St. Mary in Belleville, and I taught Kindergarten there for 3 years prior to coming to St. Agatha.

I currently live in New Athens with my Husband, Bob, and my 1 1/2 year old son, Joshua, and my daughter, Lauewn, who was just born July 24, 2009. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, scrapbooking, and reading.

I have enjoyed my time so far here at St. Agatha's and I look forward to another great school year! Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions you may have.

Laura LintkerWelcome back to school! I'm looking forward to teaching third and fourth grades again this year. This is my seventh year teaching at St. Agatha School. I am also a parent, PTF member, and GRADUATE of St. Agatha School. St. Agatha School has a special place in my heart, and I am proud to teach here.

My husband, Ron, and I have 3 children Taylor, Noah, and Isaiah. Taylor will be a sophomore at Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo. Noah will be in Mrs. Lysakowski's second grade class at St. Agatha, and Isaiah is 2 years old. We are also hosting an exchange student from France. Her name is Julie, and she is 17 years old.

I have been a teacher for almost ten years. My favorite subjects to teach are English, Reading, and Religion. My favorite part of the school day is reading orally to my students after lunch. I especially enjoy when the weather is nice, and we read on the steps outside.

Each year there are so many opportunities for the students to grow. I am looking forward to another great year of growing in faith and knowledge with my students.

Angela LysakowskiThis is my fourth year of teaching at St. Agatha. I teach first and second grade. My favorite subject to teach is reading. I enjoy it because my first graders learn so much from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. I really feel like I have taught them a lot of valuable skills. I also enjoy teaching math. We received a new math series last year with two tubs of manipulatives for hands on activities that the students all really enjoy and look forward to using.

I have been married for one year to my husband Justin. We live in Belleville. We have two cats Calli and Simba. We are expecting our first baby on January 1, 2010!  We have already painted the nursery. I also enjoy cooking, scrap booking, playing golf and hanging out with my family.

Terriann TaaffeGreetings everyone! I am the kindergarten teacher at St. Agatha School. I have also taught fourth, second and first grade, but my favorite is kindergarten. I think it's because I like to see how my students grow and progress through elementary years. By eighth grade, my "kindergartner" is ready to take on the challenges of high school. That is the ultimate reward for all teachers!

Sheri Wombacher Hello, my name is Mrs. Sheri Wombacher. I am the 5th/6th grade teacher here at St. Agatha School. I have lived in New Athens for the last 7 years with my two children. Zachary, 14, who will be a freshman at Gibault this year and Abigail, 9, who will be in the 5th grade here at St. Agatha's. I enjoy reading, biking, walking, swimming, hanging out with my children and family, spending time with friends and watching movies. I am a member of St. Agatha Parish. I am also an active member of both the Adult Choir and Pastoral Council. In addition, I am the church's Vacation Bible School Director. I Graduated from SWIC in May 2003 with and Associates of Arts degree. I Graduated from SIUE in May 2006 with a Bachelor degree in Education. After graduation, I substitute taught for the 2006/2007 school year. For the 2007/2008 school year, I was a special education teacher's aide. In addition to teaching, I work at the local library two nights a week. This way I can keep up-to-date on all the new books coming through. Finally, I am happy to say that this will be my second year here at St. Agatha's as their 5th/6th grade teacher.
